Sweden

The single pan-European emergency number 112 is operational as the only emergency call number in Sweden. There are 20 1st level PSAPs organised nationally and approximately 32 2nd level PSAPs organised nationally, regionally and locally.

As the system overview illustrates below, Sweden is currently capable of receiving and handling E112 calls. The accident location information is pulled by the PSAP from the network through ISUP and is available at both level PSAPs and the emergency service vehicle; in which it is used to generate a map.
