DG eCall steering group meeting, 14 October 2005 The second meeting of the eSafety Forum’s eCall Driving Group (DG) took place on October 14 in Brussels. The meeting followed the same lines of the previous DG eCall steering group meeting on 9 September, which were: to see what progress was made within the different eCall DG’s sub-working groups, to identify the difficulties encountered in the writing of clarification papers and to identify issues that require action from the steering group in order to move forward.
The conclusions of the Telco group meeting of 15 September were reviewed and presentations were made on PSAP requirements, performance criteria and requirements for eCall generator. In addition the participants discussed issues such as the need to develop a business model and the definition of the final content of the minimum set of data to be transmitted from the In-vehicle system through the GSM network to the PSAP.
The next DG eCall steering group meeting will be 17 November in Brussels and the main objective will the status report from all sub-working groups based on the draft clarification papers.
