Public consultation open: Deployment of eCall in Europe

The European Commission is seeking citizens' and stakeholders' opinions on the Deployment of in-vehicle emergency call - eCall - in Europe. 

Contributions are particularly welcome from citizens and road users. 

The EC also expects contributions from other relevant stakeholders, including representatives from Member States, Consumer Associations, Automobile Clubs, Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs, i.e. emergency calls response centres), Automotive Industry (OEMs and suppliers), Road Operators, Insurance Companies, Mobile Network Operators, Standardisation Organisations, Telecom Industry, Emergency Services.
